In the Nick of Time

It wasn't just years that had gone by, it was decades before the Homeowners decided the waiting was over and that it was time to remodel. Their decision was just 'in the nick of time'. The quality of the construction of this 1983 production home was marginal at best. Coupled with demanding jobs and raising children, the Homeowners had gotten into the habit of applying large quantities of caulk to their shower/tub surround to minimize the opportunity for water intrusion. And it is a good thing that they did! Demolition revealed that their efforts had not gone unrewarded, as there was not rot behind their master tub/shower (however they were not quite as lucky with their guest bath which was remodeled at the same time).

In addition to preserving the space, the Homeowners were seeking a space that would help them embrace each day with a positive outlook while making personal grooming tasks efficient. Updated finishes, enhanced storage and convenience features, has rendered a space that they enjoy spending time in ...everyday!
