Location, Location, Location
When searching for their forever home, the homeowners had some very specific criteria in mind. The home needed to be located near the ocean, it had to be on the West Coast, it needed to be walking distance to shops and services and the home had to be in a well-established community. What they found was everything they were looking for and more (the home was well proportioned for their needs and already had a built-in elevator). The two things the home lacked were an efficient ergonomic kitchen and laundry room. By relocating the refrigerator to the back wall and adding double ovens, the space was opened up, affording more counter space and providing work stations so that multiple cooks could work in the kitchen simultaneously.
In the laundry room, the washer and dryer were stacked providing space for a sink and storage cabinets. The sink has a custom cover to match the cabinets which when in place, provides a handy folding area for laundry. The wall behind the cabinets was built out to bring the cabinets nearly flush with the washer and dryer and to provide a chase for the dryer duct to avoid spewing lint on the heat pump that is located just out side from the washer/dryer locations.
"A kitchen that works completely replaced and redesigned our outdated kitchen. They also met other needs and were able to repair and provide an excellent product in our home. The project was on time and on budget. They are sticklers for detail and perfection. We will hire them again when we have a need for other renovations." ~ Pat R.
