Mid-Century Contemporary Kitchen Remodel

This contemporary home was designed and constructed in the 1960s, a time when built-in dishwashers were not standard. The Homeowners like to entertain so the primary goal was to add a second oven and to relocate the dishwasher next to the sink (the kitchen was retrofitted with a dishwasher in the late seventies, across the room from the sink). The foot print of this 108 sq. ft. kitchen with 12'+ cathedral ceiling was to remain unchanged as was the location of the sink and range. The doorway to the dining table was made into a pass through providing much needed counter space and storage. A microwave-convection oven was placed in the dishwasher's old location and the dishwasher was moved to the left of the sink. The Homeowners appreciate the improved storage and organization of their remodeled kitchen which makes entertaining a breeze.

Updated Cabinets: wall-Maple, base-Cherry, trim-Cherry • Countertops: Granite Tile
